Q4 approaches … Are you scrambling? Cruising? Somewhere in between? The biggest selling season is upon us, which means there’s a huge opportunity for your brand to soar on Amazon.
Our team hunkered down to map out the top five things to add to your Q4 initiatives. Call it the “Back to the Basics” checklist.
Make an impact. Drive sales. Follow the list:
Identify Your Strongest “Turkey 5” Contenders
As coined by Amazon, Turkey 5 is the 5-day stretch from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday, which signals the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
Your brand must be in the game on the busiest shopping days of the year. But which products to promote? It’s good to have a mix of best-selling products, newly-launched products, and even low performers in need of a boost. The long weekend is also a great opportunity to clear out excess inventory.
November’s a couple of months out, so now’s the time to line up the products that get to shine for Turkey 5.
2. Optimize Product Detail Pages
Millions of customers will be searching for products. That’s a lot of eyes on a lot of products, and having an optimized listing is key in converting those eyes into shopping cart adds. Give your listings a tune-up with not just the highest-ranking keywords, but also the most relevant ones to ensure you land each and every sale.
Team ProMark is dedicated to making every product stand out by making sure every title, bullet, and image engages the customer and gains conversion.
3. Perform an Inventory Systems Check
Even if you’ve got the best listing in the world, it doesn’t make a difference if you’re out of inventory. Make sure you’ve got the supply to meet the anticipated high demand. Having enough inventory may very well be the most important check you make before sales start accelerating.
*Important adds for your calendar: Make sure your inventory is at Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers by the first week of November for Black Friday, and by Dec. 1 for the holidays.
4. Promote, Promote, Promote
Amazon’s product promotions and advertising campaign features are there for a reason: Use them. Participate in Best Deals, Lightning Deals; create coupons and ad campaigns, and give your products the exposure they need to be successful. Protip: Make it even easier for customers by creating a brand campaign that leads customers to a curated storepage.
5. Build a Landing Page
It doesn’t get any more basic than this. Amazon gives you the option to create a custom landing page that’s dedicated solely to your brand. This is a chance to double down on your brand’s identity while drawing attention to your top products. A landing page can seal the deal for conversions, credibility, and overall brand awareness. If you’ve already got a landing page, could it use a refresh?
Always keep in mind: You’re not only selling during the holidays - you want to capture a niche market and close more sales all year round. A home for your products (a landing page) is a big part of that foundation.
If you’re not busy now, you will be soon. Juggling products, listings, and promotions is what you signed up for. Tackling the basics could pay big dividends in keeping you on course in the coming months. (Maybe you’ll even have time to dream of sugar plum fairies this Q4.)
